Devices & Integrations
Live weight on every axle, plus everything your truck's CAN bus already knows
Kimax fits pressure sensors to each axle group and a cellular telematics gateway to the vehicle. The gateway streams calibrated weights, position, and 180+ CAN bus signals to the cloud, and it can sit alongside the GPS trackers you already run.
- Weights calibrated on the device itself
- Teltonika-class GPS gateways
- 180+ CAN bus signals decoded
Kimax weighing hardware
Purpose-built IoT devices measure the load on every axle directly from the vehicle's air suspension, so a truck is weighed while it loads rather than at a weighbridge afterwards.
Per-axle weight sensing
Pressure-based sensors on each axle group convert suspension readings into calibrated weights on the device itself, so every data point that leaves the vehicle is already a real weight.
In-cab display
Drivers see live axle and gross weights from the cab while loading, right at the loader, before a wheel turns.
Remote calibration
Two-point per-axle calibration is pushed to the device over the air, with job tracking and a full before/after audit history. Offline vehicles pick the update up the moment they reconnect.
Built for harsh duty
Designed for mining, forestry, and long-haul environments: dust, vibration, and temperature extremes included.
GPS & telematics gateway
A cellular telematics unit ties everything together, with positions, weights, and vehicle data streaming to the cloud from wherever your fleet operates.
Industry-standard trackers
Kimax runs on proven Teltonika-class GPS hardware, including CAN-capable units like the FMC650, and speaks the native AVL protocol end to end.
Use the trackers you have
Already have GPS units installed? We integrate your existing tracking hardware into the Kimax pipeline, so you keep the install and gain the platform.
No data loss
Devices buffer on board and are only acknowledged once data is durably stored, so tunnels, pits, and dead zones never cost you a record.
Cellular everywhere
3G/4G/LTE connectivity with store-and-forward behaviour designed for sites far beyond city coverage.
CAN bus & FMS integration
Plug into the data your vehicles already produce. Kimax connects to the existing CAN bus / FMS gateway and decodes 180+ vehicle-bus signals, with no extra sensors required.
180+ vehicle-bus signals decoded
Axle loads & gross weight
Per-axle load channels and gross combination vehicle weight read straight from the vehicle bus on CAN-equipped trucks.
Fuel analytics
Fuel level, fuel rate, total consumption, and instantaneous economy: the numbers behind burn-per-tonne.
Engine vitals
RPM, engine load, total engine hours, coolant and ambient temperature, and service distance for maintenance planning.
Operational signals
PTO engagement, brake and accelerator position, AdBlue status, and dashboard warning lamps: the context around every movement.
BLE sensors
Bluetooth temperature, humidity, and battery sensors ride along on the same gateway for cargo and cold-chain visibility.
Works with what's already on your vehicles
You should not have to rip out working equipment to modernise your fleet. Kimax works with what is already fitted.
Tell us what's on your vehicles- Integrate your existing GPS trackers into the Kimax platform instead of replacing them
- Connect to the vehicle's existing CAN bus / FMS gateway and unlock the data it already produces
- Mixed fleets welcome: brand-agnostic across Caterpillar, Komatsu, Volvo, Scania, MAN, and more
An open platform on top
Everything the devices collect is yours to use, in Kimax dashboards or in your own systems.
REST API
Self-service, scoped API credentials give your systems live and historical vehicle telemetry, including positions, weights, and status, with per-metric selection.
GET /v1/telemetry/vehicles/{id}/latestSigned webhooks
HMAC-signed event notifications with automatic retries and a full delivery log push fleet events into your ERP, dispatch, or maintenance tools.
Exports & imports
Excel exports across reports and geozones, plus bulk geozone import, so data moves in and out as spreadsheets when that is what the job needs.
